Populasi geriatri, termasuk yang tidak memiliki osteoporosis dan defisiensi vitamin D, lebih rentan mengalami jatuh. Secara klinis, kejadian jatuh pada lansia memiliki efek signifikan, termasuk dapat menyebabkan disabilitas dan penurunan activities of daily living (ADL). Pencegahan jatuh pada populasi geriatri tanpa osteoporosis atau defisiensi vitamin D memerlukan intervensi yang multifaktorial, termasuk intervensi olahraga.[1,2]
Faktor Risiko Terjadinya Jatuh Pada Geriatri
Cedera yang dialami oleh pasien geriatri setelah jatuh memiliki dampak yang buruk yaitu mengakibatkan disabilitas, menyebabkan ketergantungan dengan orang lain, dan meningkatkan mortalitas. Oleh karena itu, setiap pasien jatuh memerlukan pemeriksaan menyeluruh yang mencakup analisis faktor risiko yang bisa dimodifikasi.[1,2]
