Pentingnya Perlindungan Terhadap Hepatitis A di Indonesia

Tidak hanya orang dewasa, perlindungan terhadap hepatitis A sangatlah penting bagi anak-anak di Indonesia. Hal ini didasarkan oleh komplikasi penyakit hepatitis termasuk hilangnya produktivitas saat sakit, beban layanan medis, serta masih seringnya terjadi wabah di Indonesia.[1-4]

Kejadian luar biasa (KLB) infeksi hepatitis misterius yang menyerang anak-anak di Indonesia pada tahun 2022 merupakan contoh nyata pentingnya perlindungan terhadap penyakit ini. Perlu diingat, metode paling efektif dalam pencegahan penularan hepatitis A adalah dengan melakukan vaksinasi hepatitis A.[5,6]
