Diagnosis Otosklerosis
Diagnosis pasti otosklerosis ditegakkan dengan menemukan fokus otosklerotik pada pemeriksaan radiologis. Keluhan utama pasien datang umumnya gangguan pendengaran bilateral yang dimulai pada usia 30-50 tahun, tetapi ada pasien yang asimtomatik.[2,9,18]
Sebenarnya, diagnosis definitif otosklerosis adalah dengan pemeriksaan histopatologi, namun untuk diagnosis pre-operatif disarankan penggunaan high resolution computed tomography (HRCT). Otosklerosis sebenarnya sangat jarang dijumpai di Asia, dan lebih banyak terjadi pada Kaukasia.[9,10,18]
