Manfaat Pemeriksaan Anti-Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide dan Rheumatoid Factor pada Rheumatoid Arthritis

Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) dan rheumatoid factor (RF) merupakan dua pemeriksaan laboratorium yang banyak digunakan dalam diagnosis rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis adalah penyakit inflamasi kronis yang sering dijumpai, dengan angka kejadian 0,5-1,0% di seluruh dunia. Rheumatoid arthritis diperkirakan terjadi pada 2,4% individu usia >65 tahun, dengan prevalensi yang semakin meningkat seiring pertambahan usia.

Hingga saat ini etiologi dan faktor pencetus terjadinya rheumatoid arthritis masih belum diketahui, namun interaksi genetik dan faktor lingkungan telah diduga berperan. Luaran yang buruk berupa destruksi dan deformasi sendi akan menurunkan aktivitas fungsional dan kualitas hidup pasien dengan rheumatoid arthritis. Jika dibiarkan tanpa pengobatan, 20-30% pasien akan mengalami disabilitas berat yang permanen dalam tiga tahun setelah diagnosis awal.[1-4]
