Farmakologi Vitamin B7 (Biotin)
Secara farmakologi, vitamin B7 atau biotin adalah vitamin yang bersifat larut air dan dapat diserap melalui usus. Biotin berperan dalam proses pertumbuhan sel, produksi asam lemak, serta metabolisme protein.[1,5]
Farmakodinamik
Biotin bekerja sebagai agen prostetik enzim karboksilase. Biotin akan membentuk suatu ikatan kovalen dengan karboksilase, sehingga enzim ini dapat bekerja dan menjalankan berbagai reaksi kimia penting dalam tubuh.[5,10]
